Sneaker Dilemma
March 15th, 2012 by CaitNike isn’t a company often in the news for political incorrectness. But Nike’s recent homage to St. Patty’s Day has caused some controversy. The latest addition to the SB Dunk Collection has caused the company to issue a public apology due to the name of the sneaker.
The “Black and Tan”, named for the Guinness and Bass drink, has actually offended many Irish. The name Black and Tan also refers to a British unit who fought the Irish and killed many civilians during the 1920′s. No Luck of the Irish for Nike this time around.
